so much love

Morgue has updated the Slayer's East website! Amazing stuff. Now there's synopsies of all the epidodes, updated character lists....it's just amazing.

Slayers East is the first Buffy roleplaying game I ever played. Morgue ran it with love and style and infinite cleverness. I played the slayer-in-training Candy, just 12 years old at very beginning of the series and struggling with family problems just as much as the supernatural.

It's one of those wonderful games where all the players mesh together, the stories are emotional challenges and every session (episode) was a real joy. It's certainly one of my favourite roleplaying experiences, sharing my top ten list with Working South of the Border, certain Mega-Roleplaying one-offs (and one recurring comic book MRW serial) and my current Buffy game Sunset, run by Steve.

I guess this all boils down to what I love most about roleplaying: character development, story, emotional drama, comedy and interacting with creative, innovative, talented friends.

Yup. Nicely put.

I could, and have frequently, ramble at length about Slayers East. Amazing game. (Although typically for me I remember the ways it failed more than the many ways it succeeded.)

(Will see you soon. Am doing a bit of hiding at the moment, but feeling more sociable with each passing day.)

I started (partly re-)reading the website and by the time I had finished the first episode I am starting to fight a huge grin from appearing on my face! (Cos I am at work and it is embarrassing to have a massive smile around your co-workers)

SE was sooo much fun and the characters were so loveable, even at their most angsty or creepy! It is probably the game that has most creeped me out. It's like I am re-reading one of my most favourite novels or watching one of my favourite tv shows re-run. Yay!

I love the updated website! It's been so long for me and I adore the "notes" at the end! So cool!
