Nearly finished the re-read of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I'm actually liking it less this time round. Huh.
Our DVD player crapped out last night. It was playing Back to the Future 3 (one of Lee's birthday presents was a DVD we already had so traded in for the b2tF boxed set) and then it was sticking on the sound and then it wouldn't play anything and then it died. Lee's looking for a new one today but we can watch stuff through the computer regardless.
Lee had a good birthday. Although he complained last night (when it was far too late for me to do anything about it) that he would have liked a cake. Poot. I'm organising dinner out at FBB and now he wants cake as well??? Plus I gave him four presents!!!
Cake is good but I am struggling with my cutting down on sugar resolution. So far I've been pretty good, managed to refuse pods yesterday, or rather dissolved into weeping which made Svend *not* bring out pods.
It was lovely at Svend's, we had drinks by the pool and it was very pleasant indeed. Sharks may have attacked some unfortunate souls but that's what you get with water isn't it?
RSVPs are pouring in for the wedding which is really nice. The sooner we get them the sooner we pass the list and the wee boxes to the lady who's writing names on them for us. She writes nice, this lady does. Lee said he's got the money situation sorted and we're going to be OK. That is a relief, as he was getting quite worried for a while there.
