Well-a-blithe.

I made up a word for you all. Well-a-blithe. You like?

My weekend was kinicker-soakingly-hot. Not in a sexual way, but a sweaty way. Wasn't that a lovely thought? I just really wanted to write knicker-soaking and have it mean something non-sexual.

On Saturday Lee and I went to the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary because I've never been before and I wanted to see birdies and it was a lovely day. In actuality it was too lovely a day to be out in the sun and not swimming, so we only stayed about an hour (which was OK since we used our entertainment book 2 for 1 ticket, so it wasn't a money waster).

We saw a coupla tiny weeny birds in the up-the-hill bushwalk that we did, and a bunch of wetas. Lee went into the Gold Mine of spookiness and came out again quick-smart when he looked at the cave wall and saw about ten cave wetas getting up close and personal to him. I stayed out of the mine for that very reason. That and the not wanting to go into a hole in the ground.

Then we had a very sociable afternoon with my sister and her friends and then Chelle and Jase's for a delish pot roast dinner. Saturday was a three ice-cream day: Fruju Tropical Snow, Chocolate Chill and lemonade/blackberry popcicle. Num. We stayed out in Churton Park until after 11 to avoid the sevens noise, but this meant we also missed the fireworks. Ah well.

Sunday I slept in and then met my sister in town for another viewing of Phantom of the Opera. I still love it. Sister bought the cd soundtrack...must steal it off her....

In the afternoon Lee and I played playstation 2 games and I kicked his ass at Singstar and we were even in Tekken Tag, although as it turns out I can still remember how to work Ling Xiaoyu so I kicked ass with her. Then we went for a refreshing swim in the Thorndon Pool...sigh...so refreshing...

Tried to watch Metallica: some kind of monster and King Arthur and found both to be boring and stoopid. Stopped them both halfway or so through. Watched the first ep. of Wolf's Rain which seems very cool and full of Bishonen. Yum. Plus another ep of Habane Renmai which is just too adorable. Brings us up to the third episode! *snigger* the anime watching just hasn't been happening lately.

This morning the alarm woke me from a dream where I couldn't tie my shoes. They were strange ballet-type shoes with complicated laces, so they weren't straight forward in the first place.
