Entry number 400!

W00t!

National Treasure is....it's alright. OK. Not brilliant, not Gadawful. It was exactly like Indiana Jones but with Nic Cage and set almost entirely in America. I was having archival conniptions over the mistreatment the Declaration of Independence recieves...interestingly less the ....OK< I'm gonna go into minor spoiler territory here, but I don't think anyone cares that much, so I'm just gonna say it....less the painting it with lemon juice because at least that was done by a certified archivist professional, I was much more concerned with the constant rolling and unrolling and handling with bare, unwashed, dirty, acidic hands.

But anyway. The sudden fad for having librarians in action movies is kinda cool for me. Oh, something else that didn't really work in Nat. Treas. was the romance. It made no sense, until I framed it in my mind as a Dom/sub thing. Y'see, if I think of the chick as someone who is really very submissive then it makes sense that she falls in love with him. I mean, they spend like, hardly any time interacting in the movie and he keeps ordering her around.

So yeah. Odd.

Last night we watched the Trouble with Harry which is one of my latest DVD purchases. It wasn't quite as funny the second time around, but good all the same.

I've been feeling all Christmassy since Carols and yesterday I put up my little fake tree. It's pretty and sparkly but a little bare. If anyone wants to donate a decoration it'd be much appreciated. As long as it's nice.
Also got some present shopping done yesterday which is all good. A quarter of my family is done and half of Lee's. I know what to get all the rest of my family so that's good, just a bit of general friends shopping to go and then I can relax and concentrate on baking. Hurrah!
