Now the sun's gone to Hell, the moon riding high. Let me bid you farewell, every man has to die.

Another gorgeously sunny frosty morning. My fingers can't cope with the freezing steering wheel and the car is always covered with water. I'm glad it's not ice though.

On Saturday night Lee and I and some of his work acquaintances participated in a quiz night. We cam second out of all the teams. Second by half a point!
It was heaps of fun though, the team worked pretty well together, filling in bits of knowledge for each other. I answered three questions by myself. I was away laughing really, because two of the literature questions were about kid's books! One was Juggling with Mandarins which I only read recently. No other team got that answer.

I also placed some lyrics as being from Brothers in Arms (Dire Straits) (see title) and named Thing one and Thing two from the Cat in the Hat. Children's librarians rock.

Yesterday I watched some of the Live Action the Tick which is kind of weird. It's a sitcom about superheroes, not a superhero show. It was pretty funny but very camp and kind of annoying too.

Harvey Krumpet was really cool. Sad and sweet. I liked the other movies by the same guy that were included as extras too. Slice of depressing life animated stop motion with bizarre figures. Loved them to bits actually.

The weekend was beautiful weather wise but freezing. I spent some time in the sun both days.

I finished Vernon God Little and it was wonderful. I am trying to convince Lee to read it, too. You guys should all read it. It's all kind of realistic but taking everything another step further. The odds are stacked against Vernon something chronic....it's fantastic reading. Vernon's voice is easy to get used to and very real.
