I had a glass of chocolate milk sitting in my desk, all of about 30 centimetres away from my mouth. I typed an email, sent it, and then looked up to see Sock's head snaking sideways towards the glass. She knew I'd seen her. She heard me say "don't even think about it". Her tongue extended. Her eyes maintained contact. Lap. Lap. Lap. "No! What the hell are you doing?!" Lap. Lap. Lap. "Sock! For heaven's sake! Stop it!" Lap. Lap... phreq moves the glass.
I hope she isn't lactose intolerant.

Fred and Wes do that too - altho they'll try and drink anything that's a in glass. water, alcohol, juice. they don't deign to drink out of a bowl. at one point we ended up putting their drinking water in one of our tumblers cos they kept making beelines for the water by my bed
Posted by: Zephfi at December 29, 2004 04:36 PMWhile milky drinks in glasses aren't safe from the monsters, mugs are - when the youngest was just a teensy kitten he dunked his nose in a mug of quite hot tea, and has been leery of mugs ever since. Water saturated with paint, however, he'll drink enthusiastically. I came home once to find that all the white fur around his mouth was a bright yellow. Idiot. I would've thought the taste would be nasty. At least they're non-toxic acrylics...
