The garden had a natural thinning event this week. First it rained so the branches of my roses got wet and heavy, then it blew like shit, and they broke off. Or fell down. So now when the buds that are left have flowered there is going to be a major pruning event. Most people seem to do their major rose pruning in the winter, but I seem to cut more off in the summer. The mower has a chipper thingy, and so I can compost as I go. Virtuous me.
Went to Spotlight today and bought NOTHING. I deserve a medal. Went to Nancy's needlework shop and got a pressie for my mother. Nearly there for the gifts now, just need a good photo of the kids, and will give prints to various rellies.
Have outlaws coming for Christmas, thereby breaking a forty year tradition of What They Do For Christmas. We are a little bit stunned. But pleased.
