So, Beau and I had dinner with my Mum and she informed us that due to the cycle of the moon (currently waning), it is inauspicious for us to move before next Tuesday.
We thought about it for about 20 sec and went, OK.
It goes like this: While we have done a *huge* amount of cleaning and Muggle has now taken her stuff away, there is still more cleaning that can be done. Today I hope to do more dishes and wipe down more kitchen cupboards. There are still curtains launder and re-hang as well as furniture to arrange (and probably wipe down first, since we're on a roll) then we need to actually unpack our stuff and ... some of that stuff is our wedding presents, things we put away over 2 years ago! I don't think we have any pots or pans either, so shopping shall also be required. We do seem to have an excess of Martini glasses though. Also, Beau is back and working full time, including some long days, so he can't be helping with house stuff every day.
We've decided to just keep doing a bit each day and aim to have the house ready for us to move in to (all cleaned and unpacked) by the end of Sunday. Then, we can take Monday off and just chill out. We're staying with Beau's parents and they are looking after us very well. We've not been very good guests though as all we do is eat and drive away to work on the other house. So it'll actually be quite nice to make Monday and hang out day. Then on Tuesday, we just go home. No muss or fuss on Tuesday :)
In other moving news, Stonesoup, this blogging space, is closing down. So I'm thinking of making Tuesday the moving place for my blogging too. Stay tuned for more info!
