Steven King

I am reading Steven King's autobiography/style guide On Writing right now and I am likely start making random blog entries where I copy out the golden nuggets of writing truth that I find so that I have them to refer to, and you do too.

Here's the first one I've found, which is Steven quoting a newspaper editor he worked for called John Gould: "When you write a story, you're telling yourself the story. When you rewrite, your main job is taking out all the things that are not the story"

Yes.
