On Sunday I went to see Mama Mia! with girlfriends, because there is literally no other way to see such a film.
If you don't like musicals, the music of Abba or stories about mother/daughter relationships then you will not enjoy this movie.
If those things do not make you run screaming then I definitely recommend it. It's a very very silly movie, but it's a good one, and the songs are fun and the whole thing is just stunning, filmed on the Greek Islands and everyone in it looks like they had an absolute blast doing the filming.
Lily Kane from Veronica Mars is a great singer, and even Colin Firth sounds rather good. Merryl Streep was insanely impressive, she sings, she dances, she does stunts! She's charismatic and enchanting! I should really just track down everything she's been in and watch it in chronological order, that way I can bask in her glory.
