pre 48 hour film competition

Things I've learned, things I hope to achieve.

I remember that last year it was very valuable for me to have a bath when I got home on Saturday night - to wind down and to ease aching muscles.

If I am acting, I hope to put in an awesome performance and be good at taking direction. The only obstacle I have here is that my husband is directing. I guess I find it easiest to disagree and contradict him of all people, so I must be good. (Thinking of my dance frame and being a 'follow' may help here. Who knows?)

People appreciate home cooking. I will make muesli biscuits this afternoon, maybe some other biccies too since they're easiest to tote around and hand to people on location.

Bring something to do, book to read or notebook to write in. There may be some downtime.

Pack random stuff we may not need just in case. Safety pins, cotton buds, tampons. You never know.

Make sure car is full of petrol, camera batteries fully charged, phone charged.

Relax and sleep at night. I was awake for an hour this morning between 2.30 and 3.30 but managed to lull myself back to sleep. I dreamed about sharks and other sea creatures thanks to watching jaws last night. S'a good film.

Remember to stay upbeat and cheerful, because this is contagious and everyone needs to remember that we're doing this for fun!

Pack sunhat, sunscreen, spare caps. Also warm layers, coats and big black polar fleece which is warm and easy to get on and off over costumes. Boots in case of mud, comfy trackies to change into.
