There are lots of things I love this Thursday and they spring easily to mind, which is nice.
Fruits Basket volume 23, picked up for me by the Lovely Zephfi. I wasn't expecting the final volume so soon so I replied to her text notification that it was out with "OMG OMG OMG!" It was worth it. It is so good. I love Kyo and Tohru so much, Tohru makes me want to be a better person, which I think I need encouragement in right now.*
I bought myself a bath pillow! Now my bathing should be perfection.
Having my lappy back! It broke and had to be sent away but it's home now and miraculously all the stuff I had on my desktop is still there. Joy of joys! My lesson is learnt though, more thorough backing up of book manuscripts.
Beignet from Sweet Mother's Kitchen. Oh my goodness. We went their for brunch on Sunday and split a big breakfast (their red beans are to die for, but I find I cannot have hollandaise in my mouth without gagging) and a beignet each to follow up, it was the perfect donut-esque treat. Hot and fluffy and crisp on the outside and big and warm and I need one right now.
My workmates are awesome fun to attend a D*vice party with. I don't know why but I felt so much more comfortable with them than I did with my close friends a couple of years back.
Our intercom is connected at home now, so our housewarming party will not have to include constant fetching of people from the door, making someone be doorman or tying a sting to my finger and dangling it out the window so people can yank on it to be let in. Good things indeed.
Skype let me talk to my Giffy and her Beau for over an hour last night and Lee hooked up the webcam so that they could see us and they got a virtual tour of the apartment! I love living in the future.
I got a CD of photos from my sister in Rarotonga today. I am a little sad about them too, because baby E looks so grown up and different from when I saw her in January, but it's also wonderful to get a visual update.
