global warming now local...

..well. It's always been local, but this is actually happening in New Zealand and y'know. If it's in out backyard then we take a bit more notice of it.

Glaciers melting in On Mt Cook, the glaciers have formed lakes, which erode the ice much quicker than a natural climactic warming cycle.

Scary stuff.

Oh, and Jacky Daydream wasn't in town, but I did buy three pairs of shoes. One pair of Eskimo boots, one pair of sensible brown mary-janes with red flowers and one pair of Dorothy style red and shiny heels. Oh, what a way to start a holiday ;p

Also, supre has a bunch of tshirts reduced to $20, and some really really really adorable pinafores and dresses. So cute.
