Foculescent Madradies

I have been encouraged to continue inventing words. Just see if you can stop me now!!

Heh.

Roleplaying last night was good, although it left me feeling sort of dissatisfied, at the time I thought it was because my character was a screen presence of only one and therefore didn't have any major developments. After thinking about it some more I actually think it's because not very much time in game had passed. The Jo part of the story probably took about 20 minutes "real time" and although the others were stopping angered slayers from storming a building and escaping madness to become super-demonic...those things would have only taken about twenty minutes.

I don't know why this is an issue either, although I think of Buffy episodes as covering at least a day in most cases and sometimes several days. Maybe I felt we weren't being very true to genre?

Steve pointed out that I didn't get the conflicted emotions interactions that I normally do, so that probably compounded it. (Although dude, if I don't get fucked up relationship stress I feel disappointed??? Way to roleplay healthily, Jenni!)

On the positive side of things (and my own random reaction aside) there were some truly amazing moments in game last night. The one that sticks with me, and probably always will is the invisible girl moving through a huge skyscraper full of bezerker slayers trashing everything and everyone they meet, smoke is everywhere and that's how we can see the invisible girl. The song Mad World is the only sound over the chaos.

Seraph's description of his slayer Charlotte becoming demonic was quite frightening and the image of her loping with giant mystical claws over the roofs of London is truly chilling.

We also had some hilariously terrifying boyfriend/girlfriend stuff with Jo kidnapped by an evil version of the empath demon and the evil double of Svend's Rebecca kidnapping Jo's boyfriend Randall. She made him listen to Celine Dion! She stole my $800 leather pants! So evil.

Point of Fashion: cold.
Current Obsession: chocolate

I wonder what a foculescent madrady could be? I suspect a madrady is what we would call a the tune used in a madrigal. But "foculescent"... That has me confused. I think of marsh-fairies singing songs...

Hi Jenni, just a quick question if I may.

Ages and ages and maybe another age ago there was a link on here somewhere to an incredibly funny blog written by a girl who took the total piss out of movies. I remember her completely trashing the movie "Troy" once, that was fantastic.

Do you have any idea who I am talking about and could you most kindly direct me to her site if it is still in exsistence?

Much appreicated.

BTW I'm sure you know but the wine and food faire is on again this weekend.

Thanks in advance.

You're thinking of Cleolinda's movies in 15 minutes. If you go to the m15m community on livejournal and join it, you'll get access to all the parodies, including the Troy one.

They're in a members only community because she's had trouble with people stealing them and passing them off as their own work.

...and apparently if I put your username in my comment it's banned as "questionable content". Weird.

Thank you very much and yes I guess I am "questionable content" when you think about it. Now I hear the name Clelinda I do remember it, duh!
