had a nice birthday.
I had a terrible sleep the night before, worrying about whether or not I'm getting a new job, and planning the party and stuff but after driving up the coast in the gorgeous sunshine, singing to my favourite songs and having lunch with my parents my anxiety pretty much evaporated. Then I bought myself new shoes!

Lee took me shopping to Luminary for a present, since he had no inspiration for himself and he bought me a bracelet and a necklace. They're all bronzey-charmy-vintagey and I love them. Then we went to get my wedding ring sorted out and it's going to be relatively cheap and they're gonna design it this week, so that's another thing checked off the list.
Lee's family gave me book vouchers and a sparkley-vintagey-pearly-starburst brooch.

Then we invaded Svend's house and had a kinda social evening with a few people. Lee's family seemed to mingle pretty well and I gots me some more presents: Terry Pratchett picture book, Honey Mead, candy selection.

Giffy and Sass and Michaela (Thanks Michaela!) gave me ponies. A bunch of very nice condition vintage My Little Ponies which I exclaimed over and people were surprised I knew all the names...why were you surprised? Actually I have a bunch that I don't know the names of but I am very happy to have a Lemondrop and a near-mint Windy and a teeny tiny baby and it's all great.

The ones from Michaela need a bit of a clean, but there're some really nice ponies there! Must resist spending time today playing with ponies. Must make house nice for party.
