Note to self: never sew with brocade again. It frays as soon as you look at it. It spills irridescent blur threads all over your clothes, the floor the sewing machine.
I got so angry with my sewing last night that Lee got quite worried. I was ready to scream after I realised I'd pinned the sleeves into the wrong armholes. After a bath I had a bit more perspective though. It's coming together and I think it'll look really good when it's done. I also think it's a good thing that I'll have it finished this early before the party and I won't be harbouring resentment against the durn thing by then.
Last night I had broken sleep of doom alternately worrying about the interview and dreaming odd things. The one that's stuck in my mind is the oddly bureaucratic vampire dream. Are you ready?
Me and everyone I know had been turned into vampires. We were awaiting instructions from the vampire mob boss/CEO. While waiting for him to assign us to cabins (like summer camp) we had to arrange ourselves correctly into a giant dishwasher. I was in the lower part, to the left.
The CEO got angry with a couple of guys, maybe from Deadwood for failing to complete some mission so he killed them. This was good nes for us waiting in the dishwasher because it meant cabins became free. I was assigned a three bed cabin with Dagger and Rachel. Inside were two single beds and one double. We said Dagger could have the double since he's tallest.
We settled in and then it was night and I was waiting up for Lee to come home. He was really late but I didn't want to go to sleep. I watched TV and hung in the doorframe until he returned. Then it was morning and I wanted to make breakfast. I went downstairs to the kitchen and there were rats all over. I cursed the previous vampiric tenants for letting things get to dirty and then I caught a rat with my bare hands. I didn't want to kill it but I knew it couldn't stay so I gave it to Lee to deal with.
I'm pretty sure I made French toast for everyone and then I woke up.
