I am a whirl of scrapbooking: powering through the old photos and liking the results. I made two pages using downloaded bookcovers. One full of picture books surrounding a photo of lil' me holding a book (Barbapapa, Curious George, Where the Wild Things Are, Crictor, Monster at the End of this book, etc) and another one with no photo (there are very few photos of teenage me considering) but book covers of 'important' books I read during high school. These include Greenmantle, Reaper Man, Weetzie Bat and Witch Baby, Wild Magic, Castle of Deception, Pawn of Prophecy, Interview with the Vampire, Jurassic Park and Alex.
They look good. I'll have to do the same with chapter books I read before high school (Narnia, BFG, Witches, Halfmen of O, Lotta Leaves Home, Perfect Hamburger, Olga Da Polga) and books I love now (Across the Nightingale Floor, Sabriel, Northern Lights, Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time, Princess Diaries, Agony of Alice, etc...).
To get the pictures I use the cover images from Amazon.co.uk I could use the American site but in NZ we usually get the British covers and I wanted to get matching editions to the ones I've read where possible.
This has been a sad loser post from a craft geek at home in PJs thinking about sleep at 9.15 on Friday night.
