Have sore neck from quilting/laptop use/curling up to sleep cause of cold. The quilt is going very well. I have done all the boring straight lines on the main part of the quilt now and it's just embellishments with embroidery thread to do then binding. My goal is to finish it before Rarotonga and I think I'll manage it.
Lee got a laptop the other week. I don't think I've mentioned it because it seemed like "his laptop" and I didn't expect it to have an impact on my life. Of course, he bought a wireless network card for it so now I can surf the net on it while he plays games on the big 'puter.
If you've noticed more typos than normal on my lj it's because I'm trying to get used to the laptop keyboard! I *heart* the laptop. It means I can bum around online while Lee blows things up. (He's playing Battlefield 2 for those interested.)
On Saturday I had a knitting-related accident, which lead to a knitting related injury. I stood on a double ended needle and it went sideways into my foot. I have a rather nasty looking welt on my foot and it bled a little on Saturday but it hasn't hurt since yesterday morning so I'm optimistic for a quick recovery. Another blood price paid: the needles were being used to make me long stripey gloves!
Saturday I went to KMart plaza and spent only $2 on ice cream, which Giffy reimbursed me for (yay!). I saw two My Little Ponies I wanted and two Bratz dolls. Rugby was good, Sam's birthday celebration was awesome fun. Sunday we bought a small amount of film festival tickets, went food shopping and then blobbed on the couch for the rest of the day.
I watched some Sherlock Holmes, some Carnivale, and The Exorcist. It wasn't that scary. I think I pretty much knew the worst bits from various take-offs and parodies I've seen over the years. It was quite an interesting story about the priest though. One of the movies I'm pleased I've actually seen though.
