Melange always sounds like a dessert to me.
So, my dream this morning was a heady mixture of the following movies: Sleepy Hollow, Phantom of the Opera, The Village and sorta kinda the Crucible.
I was Winona Ryder (Crucible) and I lived in the Sleepy Hollow village. I worked in a windmill which was really a lighthouse but situated in the middle of town. The town was endangered by the presence of the Headless Horseman except he had his head back, so it was really just freaky Christopher Walken. He stalked the streets at night but couldn't open doors (Hello, the Village?) so he'd only kill you if you were out in the streets.
Here's where it becomes Phantom of the Opera-esque: The horseman was in love with me and regularly came to the door of the windmill to peer through the crack at me. He wanted me to go with him, but I was too scared. Duh. I also had a true love (never actually laid eyes on him in the dream so not sure if it was Lee or Raoul or someone else entirely) so there was the whole Phantom Love triangle. From the end of the movie though, when Christine is scared of the Phantom and not drawn to him hardly at all.
The dream basically was the first twenty minutes of the movie, you know: setting up the characters, me as main character working in my windmill. Foolish strangers to town disbelieving our warnings about Freaky Christopher Walken and being killed by him. FCW staring in at me through the space where the door doesn't quite reach the lintel, blood spattered on his face from killing the strangers....
It was very well shot. I think my dream director has been studying as I've been getting very high quality visuals. It actually wasn't that scary a dream even, just scary enough. Like all the movies it's based on really.
