Oh my goodness. I haven't written in this blog for so long that I have the fear. I'll ease myself in gently by sharing my dream of the day with you.
I went to North Devon for work yesterday and today, to a small town in the middle of nowhere. I like the middle of nowhere, especially the sea they have there. I seriously enjoyed having a walk on the beach at Westward Ho! (yes, the exclamation mark is part of the place name - even better on the front of the bus).
From the train on the way back, I saw some beautiful traditional canal boats. Instantly, my not-so-deeply-hidden desire to live on a boat jumped up and grabbed me by the throat. I've just spent some quality time researching it on the Internet and it's not actually inconceivable.
Considering how much time I spend commuting at the moment, it could actually cut down on my commuting time. And then after work . . . I could go for a jaunt. Gosh.
