Why is it that with my my latest blog entry if I click on the title of the entry ('three cheers for Christopher Eccleston') the entry's there, but if I click on the title of the blog ('Schrodinger's Cat') it comes up blank?
What offends you? Why? What is inoffensive? What is the difference?
See how early I got this in this week?
Dreams, dreaming, a big lifelong dream. Who is Dream? etc.
This is something I'm thinking about re: internet forums and how you shouldn't taks someone's disagreeing comment as a personal attack...unless it is personal of course.
BTW, sorry this is so late and thanks to Iona for reminding me to do it :)
A few housekeeping things I've been meaning to mention for a while.
1. Please remember to back up your blogs regularly. You can do this using the Import/Export admin screen. Export your blog and save it as a text file.
2. Space allocations and images. As I said in the comments the other day, there's no policy on this yet so don't worry about it. At some point in the next month or so we'll implement some kind of limitation on space allocation to avoid increased costs. I will let you know well in advance and we can discuss ways to manage this closer to the time.
3. Linking to images. If you want to use images from other sites, please copy and upload those images. Don't link directly to the image URL (that's bandwidth theft). I've had this done to me and I responded by changing the names of the image files so the links would show up as broken. Some people replace the pictures with porn, just to make a point. Read this etiquette guide for more info.
Happy blogging, y'all. :-)
Welcoming Debs' new blog Kiwigirl to the stonesoup homepage. Yay!
....it's gonna be?
....to make a pie?
....I feel today?
....you do the macarena?
I guess this is primarily for Iona, but maybe someone else knows too!
How much space is allocated to a stonesoup user? i.e. is there any limit to the number of pics, html pages etc that can be stored in the archives of a user?
Also I have noticed that there is an Upload option for putting pics and other files into a users archive, but as far as I can see no way of being able to see exactly what a user has put there. e.g How would I delete a specific pic file I uploaded to my blog but no longer need?
Just a couple of questions!
I've been looking on the Recipe page, but I can't seem to see, or figure out on my own how to have a side column which is recent comments. Jenni has one on 'talula' and I am Jealous. Plus it seems handy.
