update + fun & games

So much to tell you and so little energy… I got sick on holiday, but it was a beautiful place to be sick in… Work is challenging and interesting, but also swallowing my life whole… I’m preaching on Sunday, how weird is that?! …I have some brand spanking new conditions that I’m not entirely sure how to pronounce (Behcet’s, and polycystic ovarian syndrome)... I have also been getting help from Eating Disorder Services... I’m still grieving the loss of Buffy and even The L Word doesn’t quite fill the gap...

More details later, but for now, sleep for me, and for you, via cankerous beet:

Comment on this post and I will reply using the following, hoping you will do the same for me.

1. I'll respond with something random about you.

2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.

3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.

4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.

5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.

6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.

7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.

8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal.

I don't even know you, so I won't request a character breakdown, but just wanted to say welcome back to cyberspace. I trust your holiday was restful?

urgh, aside from being sick, that is...

Ooh, fun quiz, do me! It's on my journal somewhere if you'd like me to answer it for you. =)

Ok, here goes...

Siobhan:
1. I have a blurred photo of you with Christmas bauble earings…
2. Not so much reminds me of you… but… the track Friend, off the Tuwhare album, now that I have it in my head I can’t think of any more logical options. Even though I’ve never climbed trees with you. Yet.
3. Peaches and Whisky
4. Um... you owe me a bookshelf.
5. I’m not entirely sure where but there is beer.
6. I think a weka. Sociable, a bit blokey – in a good way, and a food connoisseur.
7. What are your tattoos of, and what do they mean for you?

Haley:
1. I had a dream about you singing in your sleep.
2. Tommy – Sometimes Stones.
3. Banana-Berry
4. Hmmmm... well, there’s a few things I could say about a certain boy who once worked in a certain shop... but I won’t! Instead I’ll say that... Even though I’ve been slack about keeping in touch, the times we have spent together have meant a lot to me.
5. I suck at first memories. At a party at Daph & Kelly’s house?
6. A sugar-glider
7. I can’t think of anything profound, so... what would you say to your 13 year old self... and what would your 35 year old self say to you now?

Man, peaches and whiskey flavoured jelly sounds rad!

The knot on the back of my left shoulder with the rounds is a creation knot and the one on the right with the squared edge is a discipline knot.
The two important things for me I guess.

Singing in my sleep definitely sounds like something I would do! =)

I've been pretty slack lately too - you can blame my new boy, he's taking up all my free time! ;)

My 13 year old self would just gaze at me with jaw dropped. My 35 year old self would tell me to just chill out and not worry so much. And probably to stop drinking and smoking so much. =/
