Enforced holiday

I think it’s my body’s way of saying “Hey, what the hell were you thinking? All that stress and anxiety over the summer trimester, and then straight into full time study, and may I point out that you’ve never actually done full time study before. Plus there’s that part time job that is a much bigger part than you’re paid for, and then...”

I wish I’d paid attention to the earlier note that said “Oi! Take a breather or I’m going to pack up on ya!” Then I could have enjoyed a day off without the streaming nose rubbed raw, the aches and pains, the weak shaky shivery feelings... But no. Apparently it takes a nasty cold to ensure that I’ll curl up in bed without feeling guilty. Bah! At least I’m catching up on my course readings. I almost made a fool of myself yesterday because I thought that “glosses” were some kind of bird. Possibly related to the albatross. Must have been the oncoming cold muddling my brain.

I want to do some writing but all the ideas in my notebook are so incredibly dull.

Also, everything hurts, and I think I’ll go back to bed for a while. Maybe later.
